Introducing Ranger...
A very handsome and masculine fellow, Ranger is from the first litter produced by our beautiful foundation bitch Flame (aka Aust Ch Eilsta Qwyt Kutani).
Extremely loving and affectionate to his family and friends, Ranger loves meeting visitors to our Kennel, and enjoys visits with his Aunt Wendy and Uncle David at his home-away-from-home.
Ranger is a wonderful talker, and gives you a fantastic greeting when you get home from work. When he gets really excited, he can go on yodelling for minutes at a time.
Ranger loves games where he steals things and hides them from you, but sometimes his enthusiasm for the game outweighs his level of success. The funniest time was when he stole a plastic bottle of fizzy drink out of one of our shopping bags, only to stick his canine teeth through the bottle, resulting in two streams of drink to come spraying out of the bottle. One of these streams sprayed the walls of the room, the other squirted him in the face. He quickly dropped the bottle wondering what on earth was happening!
There is never a dull moment with Ranger around.
Even though Ranger is nearly 10 years of age, he has hardly had a sick day in his life - and he looks just the same as he did when he was 5 years old.
Oh, and he still loves his silly games too!

Show Record...
Ranger only had a very short show career of 28 shows, but what a career he had!
A Runner-up in Group and multiple Class in Group winner, Ranger gave us an enormous thrill by winning the Baby Puppy Dog Class at the Basenji Club of New South Wales Specialty Show, and then going on to win Opposite Baby Puppy in Show. His litter brother Duke (aka Mzalia Texas Cowboy) was second to Ranger in the Class.
Ranger was a natural born show-off and an absolute pleasure to show - it was such a disappointment when a shoulder injury incurred whilst playing in his yard, necessitated his retirement from the ring at only 9 months of age.
Critiques...
"The first one is outstanding in style and he is keeping himself very nicely when moving around the ring. Beautiful proprortions and nice in shape."
