Introducing Jason...
Just where do you begin with a dog like Jason! He arrived from his breeder in September 1998 and little did we realise just how much he would change our lives. He was a consummate showman and is a delightful dog to live with.
Jason is named after Jason, a late ancient Greek mythological figure, famous as the leader of the Argonauts, and their quest for the Golden Fleece.
Normally a no-nonsense and independent boy, he can also be very mischievous, and when he wants a cuddle he wants it NOW! Then just as quickly again he'll have had enough cuddles and want to go outside again. As he is getting older however, he is demanding more and more cuddles.
Jason is a wonderful talker (especially at dinner-time), and he just loves his buddy Flame (aka Aust Ch Eilsta Qwyt Kutani). They have been best buddies for many years now and they are just like and old married couple; sometimes loving and affectionate cuddling up together on the sack bed, other times squabbling over who is going to be the first one in their kennel.
It's been wonderful watching their relationship over the years.
Now rising 11 years of age is still in very good condition for his age, and looks no more than 6 or 7 years old. He is a little slower than he used to be, but he still carries himself with that same arrogance he displayed as a show dog.

Show Record...
Jason was our first Grand Champion and our Specialty and All Breeds Best in Show winner. He gave us so many "firsts", and his career achievements make for impressive reading.
A natural born show off, the laid back persona he displays outside of the ring disappears once he goes through those gates. He stretches up his neck, goes up on his toes and says "I am here - I dare you not to look at me!" That combined with his wonderful posture and sublime movement ensured you would notice him in the ring.
The consummate showman and a pleasure to show.
In the Group and General Specials ring, he was clever enough however, to know when judge was not interested in him, and he would come out of the ring looking at me as if to say "what's going on here?" David and I would always find this a source of great amusement.
With nothing left to prove Jason has been retired from the ring for a few years now. He still comes out to make the occasional appearance in Veteran's Parades, where he still goes around the ring with that same arrogance and panache that he showed as a youngster.
