Taz's Show Career
Taz has proven to be a slow maturing dog, and
given this we are pleased with the results he has put together against very strong
competition in the breed. He is a Best in Group and multiple Best of Breed and Class in
Group Winner at All Breeds Championship Shows, and a multiple Class in Show winner at Basenji
Specialty Shows.
The biggest thills he has given us to date are the Best in Group he won to bring up his
title, his two Specialty Class in Show awards at the 2001 New South Wales and Victorian Specialty
Shows, and on "Sunday Specials day" at the 2000 Royal Adelaide Show - when Taz won 2nd Place in the large All-Breeds Baby
Puppy Dog class. Taz was the second youngest puppy in the class, and his result was the
first success for a Basenji in one of these Specials Classes for many years.
After being desexed, Taz also made a couple of appearances in the ring in the Neuter Classes. After a break from the show ring of nearly 2 years, he came back in sytle to win Neuter in Group awards under an International Judge.
Now living in a pet home here in South Australia, Taz is completely retired from the show scene.
