A Little About Ryan...
Ryan is a goofy, fun-loving pup, who loves going out and making new friends. He also loves cuddles and snuggles with his human mum and dad, and without warning will often launch himself onto your lap - regardless of who or whatever may already be there! Like Tina, he also loves squeaky toys, and his favourite game is hide-and-go-seek at bedtime. We are proud to announce that on the 14th October 2005, Ryan became the 13th Australian Champion to bear the Mzalia prefix.
About Ryan's parents...Sire: Tocayo Giambi...
Giambi's sire, Aus Ch Baagna Xs Aztec is a son of the very successful stud dog Aus Ch Baagna Wotta Jackpot. In the ring, Aztec has been a Runner-up in Group and multiple Class in Group winner. He has also twice won Red & White Coat classes at Specialty Shows. His mother Aus Ch Tocayo Juma, a descendant of Teschi and Pukkanut lines, has also been a Runner-up in Group and Class in Show winner, as well as a multiple Class in Group winner. A fun-loving girl, her behaviour at times cost her more wins in the ring, as shows were all about fun for her. Giambi is the sire of just this one litter so far, but the pups he has produced have done him proud, and show him to be a sire of great potential. From this first litter, he has produced All Breeds Best in Show winner Aus Ch Mzalia Private Benjamin, Specialty Best in Show winner Aus Ch Mzalia Private Dancer, and the multiple Specialty Opposite Class in Show winner Aus Ch Mzalia Private Ryan. Two of Giambi's pups finished in the "Top 10" Basenjis Nationwide in the 2005 DogzOnLine Points Score! In June 2006, his daughter Aus Ch Mzalia Private Dancer also created breed history in South Australia by becoming the first Basenji to win the Spitz Breeds Club of South Australia's Spitz of the Year.
