Roy's Show Career
Roy
is a very elegant and classic style basenji, who has performed consistently well
through his career.
In his first weekend of competition against the adults he scored his first Reserve, one Puppy in Group and very nearly a second. Then at his very next show, Roy opened his account in fine style with a 17 point Best of Breed in just his third show against the adults, at only 6 months and 19 days of age. He has continued to get solid results against the strong adult male competition here in Adelaide.
Roy scored his very first Best in Group award at an All Breeds Championship Show on the 28th August 2003, and a month later became the 7th Australian Champion to bear the Mzalia prefix, and the 5th Champion produced by his mother Aus Ch Eilsta Qwyt Kutani.
