A Little About Ranger...

Mzalia Texas RangerSay hello to Ranger - one of our former homebred stars, and a very handsome individual.

Ranger was Flame's first-born puppy, and arrived in the wee small hours of 2:15am on 14th June 1999.

An elegant and very masculine dog, Ranger is an eye-catching and impressive individual. A very "typey" boy, he has a lovely masculine head, strong topline, and a good shelf. He has an excellent, tight double-curled tail, dark eyes and beautiful fine wrinkle. On the move he awesome; light on his feet, with a wonderful free-flowing stride.

Head Study - Mzalia Texas RangerIn addition to his wonderful physical qualities, he also has a wonderful personality and character. Ranger is very loving and affectionate to his family and friends - and loves meeting visitors to our kennel, and visits with his Aunt Wendy and Uncle David at his home-away-from-home.

Ranger is also a wonderful talker to boot, and gives you a terrific greeting when you get home from work. Ranger is a lot of fun to have around. There is never a dull moment with him.

Being a typical basenji however, he will still try to get away with doing things that he shouldn't, but he is so willing to please that he is very easy to discipline, which makes him a very easy boy to live with - quite possibly our easiest basenji to date.

Even though he has "Mzalia" as his prefix and comes from an "Eilsta" bitch, Ranger is made up from pure Baagna bloodlines, combining the best of the "old" and the "new" blood.

Ranger is the father of 2 lovely litters of puppies. Check out his Stud Record page to learn more about his babies.

About Ranger's parents...

Sire: Aus Ch Baagna Tiz Wundaful...

Head Study - Aus Ch Baagna Tiz WundafulWizzy has been a very successful dog from limited opportunities at stud. A sire of four litters, he has produced champions in Australia and New Zealand, as well as a Runner-up in Show winner, and Class in Show winners in both All-Breeds and Basenji Specialty Shows. In fact, at the 1999 Basenji Club of New South Wales Specialty Show, he was runner-up sire of the day, just 1 point behind the winner, who was represented by more litters and more individuals on the ground.

A very soundly built and masculine dog, Wizzy certainly seems to be continuing on the heritage of successful stud dogs produced by his own sire Aus Ch Baagna Hustler. Wizzy is a litter brother to one of our former show dogs in Aus Ch Baagna Tiz Romeo.

Wizzy is still alive and in good heatlh, and is the much loved companion of a family here in South Australia.

Flame has been a wonderful producer for us at stud, throwing Best in Show winners as well as multiple All Breeds Champ Show Best in Group and Class in Show winners. Her progeny have also done very well at Breed Specialty Shows, with Multiple Class in Show, Opposite Class in Show and Property Class winners. She is also a multiple "Dam & Progeny" class winner at Specialty Shows

One of her sons, is also a successful sire in his own right, throwing Grand Champions, Champions, Runner-up Best in Show and Class in Show winners. What more could you ask for from your foundation bitch?

Flame is a very sound bitch, with an effortless gait, stunning coat and a lovely head and expression. She is also possessed of a wonderfully outgoing and friendly temperament. These are qualities she has consistently passed on to her puppies.
