We are very happy with the evenness and quality of this litter, and we feel
that at the same stage, this litter is showing more potential than the first
litter that Zayla produced for us.
All of these kids have been shown - two with us here at
Mzalia, and two have made the long trip to Norway to be the first
representatives of our kennel over there.
Please be sure to check back here to learn more about these kids.

Making Waves (Tyler)
Fanconi DNA Linkage Tested: Probably Clear/Normal
A handsome and sound boy, Tyler is residing with Chrissy
Petersen in Queensland whilst work commitment are keeping us from showing.
Tyler is an eye-catching individual with great elegance and
poise.
Away from the shows he is very much like his father Ryan - an
affectionate boy who loves cuddles.
Some of his qualities include good proportions, a nice open side
gait, good topline, excellent wrinkle and a lovely fine coat.
Tyler has made a promising start to his career, and from limited
appearances is already a
multiple Class in Group winner, and has been placed in a large
Sweepstakes in New South Wales.
He was also 5th in the Baby Dog Class at the 2007
Basenji Club of NSW Specialty.

Making Whoopee (Whoopee)
Fanconi DNA Linkage Tested: Probably Clear/Normal
Whoopee is one little pocket dynamo. She does everything in life
is done at one speed - "flat out".
Her joy of life is shown in everything she does, from the way
that she works on the lead, to the way she plays with her kennel mates, to the
way she demands your attention when she wants a cuddle. Whoopee is a tail wagger
and yodeller extraordinaire.
From limited show ring appearances, Whoopee was a Class
in Group winner and was
Baby Puppy in Show at the Spitz Breeds Club of South Australia Show in
November 2007.
Whoopee is much more of a people dog than a show dog. She has recently been desexed and now lives with the Wilson
family and another of our boys "Duke".

Making Mischief (Zally)
Fanconi DNA Linkage Test: Both parents tested Probably Clear/Normal
Exported to Norway
Zally is gorgeous pup who reminds us very much of her father's litter sister
BIS Aus Ch Mzalia Private Benjamin. She
has classically elegant lines, is beautifully proportioned and has a lovely
length of neck.
When living with us, Zally was always the first to do things: the first to open
her eyes, the first to get out of the whelping box, the first to work out how to
get out of the puppy pen, the first to go exploring into new areas of the yard,
etc, etc. Hence the nickname that she had with us, which was "Dora the Explorer"
- and her show name "Making Mischief".
Zally is one of the the first two Mzalia's to make their way to Norway, and she
has become a member of Ingeborg Kjol Molnes well known Kennel Azania's.
Our thanks go to Ingeborg for giving Zally such a wonderful home, and we wish
her all the best with Zally.
Zally's first show will be in early 2008.
FLASH: Zally hits the show ring with a BANG winning Best of Breed
and BIG-2 Puppy in her very first show, then follows it up with CK, CC, BOS at
her second show (and first against the adults)!
Congratulations to Ingeborg and Zally!

Making Headlines (Tasha)
Fanconi DNA Linkage Test: Both parents tested Probably Clear/Normal
Exported to Norway
Tasha is another beautiful pup from this litter. She is nicely
balanced, has a beautiful head, good topline, tail and tailset and has that
"high on leg" look.
All of the pups in this litter are very affectionate, but Tasha
takes the cake for wanting the most cuddles. She and Zally used to race to try
an be the first to get a cuddle for you. This affection was kept solely for
people, as she loves all dogs and other animals that she meets as well.
Like Zally, Tasha too has made the long trip to Norway, where
she now lives with Annika Kass and her family which includes Willy the Basenji (Azania's
Wild Mountain Calling) and Max the British Short-Haired cat.
Tasha has had a handful of shows so far and has received some
very nice critiques, and in her fist show against the adults gets CK and
2nd best female (to her sister Zally)!
Our thanks to Annika and her family for giving Tasha such a
wonderful home, and we her all the best with her.

"Angel"
21 June 2007 - 1 July 2007
Zayla originally gave birth to 4 beautiful girls, but sadly we
lost one of them who was accidentally injured in the whelping box, when she was
just over a week old.
This photo was taken of her just the day before she died.
We could not put her to rest without a name, so we decided to
call her "Angel" as she is now our little guardian angel who will look over her
brother and sisters.
Angel has been laid to rest in a "Remembrance Garden" we have
set up for when our beloved kids cross over the Rainbow Bridge. Looking over her
there is a statue of small angel, gently sobbing into its hands.
Farewell our dear little Angel. Sleep easy and run free at the Rainbow Bridge
where Cobee, Jet, Flute and your other ancestors will take good care of you.
