On Monday 29th April, Flame produced 4 red and white boys to the
exciting stud dog Aus Ch Baagna Wotta Jackpot. We would
have loved there to have been a nice girl in this litter, but unfortunately that
was not to be.
We are delighted
with the quality of this litter, with the pups are displaying many of the
qualities we were hoping for when we selected this mating. And again, Flame has
given us sound pups of beautiful breed type, with glorious coats and excellent
temperaments.
We selected the middle name of Casino for this litter, based on the
father's name "Jackpot".
Three of the four boys in this litter were shown, and all of them had excellent results in their careers.

Aus
Ch Mzalia Casino Royale (Roy)
A stunning individual, from early on I knew Roy was a boy I wanted to run on.
He is a very masculine boy with a beautiful head,
excellent length of neck, and good proportions and body shape.
Physically, Roy has matured very quickly, but mentally he is still very much
a very happy puppy. He is a happy and out going boy who just loves life.
Roy has really blossomed as he has matured, and whilst initially he did not
have the results that his litter brothers had
at Group level, he has certainly made up for it as he has matured, with Best and
Runner-up Best in Group awards at both Championship and Open Show level. The highlights of his career to date would have to be his first Best in
Group Win, and his first Best of Breed (at just 6 months and 19 days) where he amassed 17 points
towards the 100 required to become an Australian Champion. To win this Best of
Breed he had to defeat Grand Champions, All Breeds and Specialty Best in Show
winners, and several multiple Best in Group winners.
On the 27 September 2003, he became Mzalia's 7th homebred Australian
Champion. His daughter Aus Ch Katimbari Wild ov Heart is a multiple Best
in Group and Class in Show winner.
Roy also became a father for the first time on 10th May 2004 to Dee
Wheatley's Multi Best in Show winning bitch Aus
Ch Mzalia Hidden Valley.
Roy now lives in a loving home in Canberra.

Mzalia
Casino Square (Jackson)
Jackson gets his show name from the Casino
Square corner on the Monaco
Grand Prix circuit.
Whilst we were not planning on keeping two boys from this litter, Jackson was
just too good, not to give an opportunity to. A finer build of dog than
Roy, he too has an excellent masculine head, with wonderful eye shape and
pigmentation and a lovely high earset. And like Roy, Jackson too has wonderful
length of neck.
In many ways, Jackson reminded us of a "leggier" version
of our Jason (Aus Gr Ch Baagna Virst
Legend), both in personality and movement. A very laid back - but
affectionate - individual, Jackson enjoyed the show ring and loved nothing better
than to being able to carry out his sash when he had won! Jackson also has the most
divine movement we have ever had in a youngster. He effortlessly floats across
the ground and has beautiful reach and drive.
Jackson was a consistent winner at Breed and Group level through the early
part of his career, and we were hopeful of a bright future for him. He was also
an All Breeds and Specialty Class in Show winner. Unfortunately
he did not mature as well as we had hoped he would, losing the lovely
proportions he had as a youngster. So after a lot of careful consideration, we
made the difficult decision to find a nice pet home for him.
Jackson is now a very spoiled member of the Spanos family in Victoria.

Aus
Ch Mzalia Casino Playboy (Dude)
Like his brothers, Dude is also a very handsome and masculine
youngster. He also has the most superb orange coat you could ever hope to see.
Dude is a very loving boy who just has to be the centre of attention.
He is also a "born show dog". The relaxed persona he displays outside
of the ring, turns into an arrogant "look at me - I'm here!" attitude
once he enters the ring. He simply demands your attention.
Dude lived in Tasmania with Stan and Eileen Laycock of Eilsta
Basenjis, and he performed extremely well during his career, being a regular
Challenge and Best of Breed winner, with several Class in Group awards to his
name.
On 4th October 2003, Dude became the 8th Australian Champion bearing
the Mzalia prefix.
Dude has now been retired from the ring and lives in a loving
pet home in rural Tasmania.

Mzalia
Casino Ace (Rusty)
Like his brothers, Rusty too is a very handsome and masculine
boy, with the most superb head.
Unfortunately however, he did not have the required white toes
on one of his front feet, so he could not be considered as a show prospect.
Rusty has the most superb personality, loving cuddles and hugs,
and was showing a lot of aptitude for basic obedience before he went to his new
home.
Rusty is the loving companion of the Cornish family in
South Australia.
