Special Honours for Flame
In October 2000, I was approached by a local magazine publisher, for photos to use in a pet care book they were producing. I duly sent them some photos, and thought nothing more of it.
Until the 18th of April 2002 that is....
I was absolutely thrilled to find the book had finally been published, with Flame appearing right there on the front cover!
A couple of other photos of her are featured in the book as well.
I always knew that Flame was Cover Girl material!!!
Back in mid-1998, I received an email from Andie Paysinger in the USA, asking if she could use one of my photos of Flame as a Baby for a crystal engraving. This engraving, shown below was to become one of the feature items on Best Opposite Sex in Show trophy at the 1998 Basenji Club of America Inc National Championship Show, which was eventually won by Am Ch Astarte's Cleopatra of Nyanga.
Many thanks to Andie for immortalising Flame in such a way, and to John Forbes for taking this photo for me whilst he was in America attending the National.
