A Little About
Canon...
Say hello to Canon - a very handsome boy from the first litter his mother Debbie (Aus Ch Mzalia Texas Cheerleader) and his father Adam (Eilsta Undaunted Spirit). We were not planning on keeping a boy from this litter, but there was just something special about Canon, so we decided to run him on.
Canon
is a handsome, sound boy with lovely quarters, good feet, short back, and an
excellent head with super-fine wrinkle, excellent eye shape and pigmentation. He
also has a good coat with fine, pliant skin. Canon is a lovely style of basenji,
and developed into a wonderful representative of the breed.
Around the house, Canon is a very affectionate and happy boy, very much in the mould of his father Adam (Eilsta Undaunted Spirit). He loves cuddles with his humans and playing with his fluffy purple dinosaur.
Canon has been retired from the Show Ring, and is now the very spoiled companion of Rose on Kangaroo Island.

Specialty Shows, Adam was a dog of great potential. We retired him from the ring however,
at 8 months of age due to a badly broken tail.
A lovely style of basenji, Adam has a wonderful head, good tail set, topline and hindquarters. But above all, he also has a wonderful happy and outgoing temperament. His litter brother Eilsta Undaunted Rebel was Baby Puppy in Show at the 2001 Hobart Royal Show.

A multiple Best in Group, Class in Show and Specialty Class in Show winner, Debbie is an elegant, feminine bitch, possessing lovely breed type. She is beautifully bodied, with an excellent topline and a superb coat. She is also a lovely square bitch with the required "high on leg" appearance, and shares her mother's outgoing temperament.
Debbie has been a wonderful producer from the two litters she has had for us, her pups inheriting her wonderful proportions and superb breed type. She has thrown 4 champions (including the Specialty Best in Show winning Aus Ch Mzalia Private Dancer and the All Breeds Best in Show winning Aus Ch Mzalia Private Benjamin), and multiple Best in Group, Runner-up in Group and Class in Show winners. She has also produced a multiple Specialty Opposite Class in Show winner.
Two of Debbie's pups finished in the "Top 10" Basenjis Nationwide in the 2005 DogzOnLine Points Score!
Then in June 2006, Aus Ch Mzalia Private Dancer created breed history in South Australia by becoming the first Basenji to win the Spitz Breeds Club of South Australia's Spitz of the Year.
Debbie is a litter sister to the the Best in Show winner Aus Ch Mzalia Texas Gunfighter (now a very successful sire in his own right) and to the Runner-up in Group and Specialty Opposite Class in Show winner Mzalia Texas Ranger (who is also showing promise as a sire with the pups from his first litters).
